What MaxDividends AI is
MaxDividends AI is an educational chat assistant focused on dividend investing. It helps you think through individual companies, dividend safety, portfolio construction, and the long-term MaxDividends approach to income investing.
It is not an investment adviser. Nothing the assistant says is personalised financial advice — see the Disclaimer for the full details.
How to get better answers
- Be specific. "How would we evaluate JNJ's dividend safety?" beats "Is JNJ good?"
- Anchor on one idea. Payout ratio, moat, yield trap concern — one anchor per question gets a sharper answer.
- Use the MaxDividends frameworks. Ask things like "Build / Grow / Live — where does this fit?" or "What are the quality pillars here?"
- Compare. "Compare JNJ and PG on dividend safety" works well.
What it won't do
- Give buy / sell verdicts.
- Predict short-term price moves.
- Fetch live MaxDividends scores (not wired in yet).
- Act as a trading or signal service.
Subscriptions
Free users can send a limited number of messages. MaxDividends AI Plus and Pro plans increase your monthly quota. The Pro plan also includes access to our paid Substack research and personal memory (see below).
You can manage your subscription from your account settings.
Personalization (Pro)
Pro subscribers get personalised memory and response-style controls across chats. As you chat, the assistant quietly picks up durable facts — your preferred sectors, risk tolerance, investing goals, approximate portfolio size, and anything else you ask it to remember — and uses them to tailor future answers without you having to repeat yourself. You can also tune the response style (warmth, enthusiasm, use of headers and lists, use of emoji).
Where to manage it: left sidebar → Personalization (or Avatar → Preferences → Manage memory). From there you can:
- Adjust the four style dials (Warm, Enthusiastic, Headers & Lists, Emoji).
- Review and edit everything the assistant remembers in a single text field.
- Toggle the whole feature on or off.
- Clear memory to start from scratch.
What affects memory:
- Deleting a chat automatically removes any facts that came from it.
- Archiving a chat hides it from your sidebar but keeps its contribution to memory.
- Manual edits replace the automatic history — new chats start building on top of what you saved.
Personalization is Pro-only. If you downgrade, your saved profile and style dials are kept dormant and will resume automatically the moment you upgrade again. If you never want it at all, simply turn the toggle off.
